Rugby World Cup Warrior Graeme Morrison Thrilled By Glasgow’s Stunning Win In Leinster
GLASGOW WARRIORS ace Graeme Morrison took time out from World Cup duty to hail his club side’s stunning win over European champions Leinster.
Morrison missed the Warriors’ 23-19 success as he is in New Zealand with Scotland but the centre took time to congratulate club boss Sean Lineen.
He said: “It was a great result. I sent Sean a text to say well done and that he must be very proud.
“I got one back and it was clear he was very proud indeed.
“Not having beaten Leinster away in my whole time at the club, I was almost sad not to be a part of it.
“But I’m very happy to be here and I’m sure the guys back home are delighted.
“It will give them a huge boost, showing the youngsters in the side they can do it, so let’s hope they can continue in good form.”
Lineen is confident the morale-boosting result can kick-start Glasgow’s RaboDirect Pro 12 League campaign.
He said: “This was a fantastic win and hopefully the launchpad for us to go on and really build from it.
“I am so proud of the lads and to do it while being so depleted with World Cup players missing just makes the win all the sweeter.”
