Top Cat: The Movie release trailer
Top Cat: The Movie has released its first trailer.
Vertigo Films and Anima Studios are behind the remake of Hanna-Barbera’s classic cartoon character, and will release the movie in UK cinemas this summer in both 2D and “purr-fect 3D” formats.
The animated film will centre on TC and friends facing a big challenge when a new police chief threatens to retire Officer Dibble.
“Top Cat is an iconic and much-loved character known by nearly every parent in the UK,” saidVertigo’s Rupert Preston and Allan Niblo in January.
“We are thrilled to be bringing Top Cat, his mischievous gang and Officer Dibble to a whole new generation.”
Top Cat originally ran for 30 episodes on ABC in the early ’60s and is shown today on Cartoon Network’s classic animation arm Boomerang.
