Giuliana Rancic says surrogate is ‘amazing’

Giuliana Rancic has described the woman carrying her child as “amazing”.

The Fashion Police star and husband Bill Rancic, who have had difficulties conceiving, announced earlier this week that they are expecting their first baby via a gestational surrogate.

“She is giving us the greatest gift we’re ever getting in our lives,” Giuliana explained to People. “She’s so selflessly helping make our dream a reality. We adore her.

“Once we met her it was an instinct we had. We could tell she was a great person.”

Asked if the unnamed woman would continue to be involved with the child’s life following the birth later this year, Bill revealed: “That will be up to her, but we are very grateful for what she’s done for us and we intend to maintain a relationship with her.”

Last year, Giuliana was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a double mastectomy to decrease the chances that the illness would return.

The couple insisted earlier this year that they “definitely” wanted to start a family this year.
