Pharrell Williams has branded UK new kid Conor Maynard as ‘the future of pop music’.
Dubbed Britain’s answer to Justin Timberlake, the 19-year-old has been working with the N.E.R.D. performer on his debut album Contrast.
Talking about the new record, Pharrell told Billboard: “This kid will change the future of pop music.”
Speaking about his time in Miami working with Pharrell, Maynard explained: “That was an insane time. I met more famous people in that one week than [any time] in my entire life.
“Pharrell made a point of playing my music to everyone that rolled into the studio.”
Conor Maynard’s debut album Contrast will be released in the UK on July 30.
