Jay-Z’s bodyguards in backstage ruckus at Radio 1’s Hackney Weekend
Beyonce has had everyone talking about her ‘moshing’ with the crowd as she watch her husband Jay-Z perform at Radio 1’s Hackney Weekend on Saturday night, but it would seem that while all eyes were on the 99 Problems star, his security allegedly became embroiled in a ruckus when one reveller verbally abused Beyonce as she let her hair down amongst the other crowdgoers.
A drunken festival guest reportedly started yelling at the Crazy In Love singer when he spotted her.
She quickly alerted Jay-Z’s bodyguards, who then waded in to deal with the problem and got Beyonce to safety.
A source told the Daily Star: ‘Whatever was said, it really upset Beyoncé. Jay-Z’s bodyguards weren’t going to have any of it. They waded in and there was a massive ruckus.
‘It got pretty ugly and Beyoncé was whisked away so she wouldn’t get caught in the middle of it.’
But there were no signs that the clash affected Beyonce’s night.
The singer was enjoying a night off from mummy duties away from little Blue Ivy.
She was seen joining in in the mosh pit as she cheered on her husband, who entertained the 50,000 strong crowd with his hits.
While the rapper was joined by Rihanna, M.I.A and finally Kanye West during his set, his adoring wife was in front of the stage singing along like any other fan.
However, she really came into her own during his massive hit N***** In Paris when she started moshing with the crowd.
Jay-Z asked for the main lights to be put on the crowd before instructing them to form a circle with a clearing in the middle for the collaboration with Kanye.
Beyonce and her pals made their own circle in their exclusive area in front of the stage and chanted along during the countdown.
Make your family proud,’ he joked before launching into the song for the second time in a row.
When Jay-Z called for the moshing to begin, the Halo hitmaker and her friends threw themselves into it.
Wearing a huge grin on her face, the mother of one jumped and danced while singing along to the track.
Despite the bad weather, Beyonce still managed to look effortlessly stylish.
Wearing a hooded raincoat to protect her blonde curls, Beyonce also toted a pair of Hunter wellingtons to keep her dry.
Her only concession to her superstar status was a slick of red lipstick.
Earlier Rihanna had helped Jay-Z open his set with a blistering performance of Run This Town.
