EastEnders: New romance on the cards for Lola

Lola Pearce has had a run of bad luck lately so it would be nice to see a happy ending, but not if Phil Mitchell has his way.

Dexter Hartman – Ava’s 20-year-old son – starts settling into Walford life later this month as he tries to get to know the Branning family. Abi quickly warms to him, and she soon manages to get him on good terms with Jay and Lola too.

Lola seems to be taking a particular liking to Dexter (Khali Best) and although he seems surprised when he discovers that she has a baby daughter, it doesn’t put him off from spending time with her.

The pair later get together to watch a DVD at Billy’s flat, but when Phil arrives, he tells Lola (Danielle Harold) that she can do much better. When Phil urges her to get rid of Dexter, will Lola listen?

EastEnders airs these scenes on Friday, January 18 at 8pm on BBC One
