Frank Ocean to press charges against Chris Brown after studio brawl
Frank Ocean is reportedly planning to press charges against Chris Brown following their fight at an LA studio on Sunday.
Brown is accused of punching the singer at the Westlake Studio in LA on Sunday after an alleged dispute over a parking space.
Brown had left the scene by the time officers arrived, however Ocean is apparently being treated as a victim following his police statement, contrary to earlier reports that he was the instigator.
Sources close to Brown have claimed he was trying to leave the studio but “was blocked by Frank Ocean and his crew.”
Other sources told TMZ that Ocean said: “This is my studio, this is my parking spot,” adding that Brown “went to shake Ocean’s hand when he was attacked by one of Frank’s people.”
An insider connected with Brown claimed one of the singer’s friends “jumped in front and hit Frank’s head.”
Ocean then “came at Chris. Chris pushed him away and they started brawling,” sources added.
The LA Sheriff’s Office spokesman Steve Whitmore told the New York Post that Ocean is “desirous of prosecution” and that officials intend to “find out what happened”.
Ocean tweeted after the incident: “got jumped by chris and a couple guys… cut my finger now I can’t play w two hands at the grammys.”
Brown was previously involved in a separate nightclub brawl with Drake in New York City last year, leaving several bystanders injured.
He is on probation until August 2014 following his 2009 assault of Rihanna. The most recent accusations of violence have apparently halted plans for him to duet with the ‘Diamonds’ star at the Grammys on February 10.
