Chris Brown has reportedly slammed claims that he refused to give his insurance and licence details after a fender bender in Los Angeles last week.

The singer, who was involved in a minor crash, is alleged to have initially refused to give the other driver his insurance information and licence number.

Brown is now being investigated by the LA police department over the possibility of a hit-and-run after claims from the driver that Brown eventually gave her incorrect insurance information.

Sources close to Brown tell TMZ that the performer gave the other driver all of his correct details, and had his lawyer attempt to contact her after the accident.

However, the driver allegedly hung up on Brown’s lawyer, and has not answered further calls.

The sources also claim that Brown and his legal representatives have yet to be contacted by the LAPD despite reports of a probe into the incident.

Brown could face up to four years in jail if he is found to have violated the terms of his probation from his 2009 assault case, in which he attacked former partner Rihanna.
