PlayStation 4 launch date announced

PlayStation 4 have revealed that the next-gen system will launch this November.

At the end of today’s Sony’s gamescom press conference, it was confirmed the console will first be available in North America on November 15, followed by a November 29 release in Europe.

The company also announced that the PS4 will be released in a total of 32 countries during the holiday season.

The PS4 is now available for pre-order, although it has been confirmed that pre-ordered consoles in the UK are no longer guaranteed to arrive at launch.

With the PS4, which will be priced at $399/€399, Sony is reportedly trying to prevent losses it initially incurred from the PlayStation 3.
