Robin Thicke’s new album Paula struggles in UK sales
Robin Thicke has struggled to sell copies of his new album Paula in the UK.
The ‘Blurred Lines’ singer’s latest LP entered the chart at number 200, selling only 530 copies.
The album is named after Thicke’s estranged wife Paula Patton, who announced their split after nine years in February.
Thicke’s album campaign has focused on winning back his former partner, with the lead single being ‘Get Her Back’.
His previous album Blurred Lines sold 25,981 copies in its first week. His latest sales total is around just 2% of that for last year’s LP.
In the US, Paula sold around 25,000 copies in its first week, which is down by 177,000 from Blurred Lines.
