Fans call for Iceland to sack Peter Andre

Fans have called for Peter Andre to be sacked from Iceland ads after he made a joke about being embarrassed by the brand.

While appearing on ITV2’s Celebrity Juice, Peter made a quip about the fact he appears in their TV adverts, hinting that it’s embarrassing.

After making a joke about the food retailer, he was quickly criticised on social media, with many stating that he shouldn’t have said such a thing.

The show’s host, Leigh Francis, also known as Keith Lemon, made a reference to another panellist, singer Olly Murs, being voted ‘Rear of the Year’ to which the pop star replied how ’embarrassed’ he was.

But Andre, looking for a laugh, then quipped: “Olly, dude, you don’t need to be embarrassed, I’ve done an Iceland advert.”

The comment has caused outrage on social media and even appeared to shock fellow Celebrity Juice stars Phillip Schofield and TV chef Gino D’Acampo.
