Frankie Bridge pregnant and forced to pull out of Strictly tour
Frankie Bridge has announced that she is pregnant again and will have to pull out of the Strictly Come Dancing tour.
Frankie and husband Wayne Bridge welcomed son Parker in October 2013 and only recently confirmed they’d like another child in the near future.
The runner-up of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing also confirmed that she will not be able to appear on the upcoming 2015 tour as she is “really unwell”.
She is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum, the same debilitating condition that the Duchess of Cambridge has experienced with both of her pregnancies.
“So excited to tell you that Wayne & I are expecting another baby later this year. We cant wait for Parker to have a little brother or sister,” she tweeted.
“Sadly I’m really unwell with my pregnancy and won’t be able to take part in the tour. I’m SO sorry. I was so looking forward to it,” she continued.
In a separate statement, the singer added: “I’m devastated that I’m missing out, as I loved so much and was so looking forward to joining everyone again in all those fabulous arenas. Thanks for the warm messages I’ve already received, they are really appreciated.”
A spokesperson for Stage Entertainment and Phil McIntyre Entertainments, producers of the tour, said: “We completely respect Frankie’s decision, a safe pregnancy is the priority. On behalf of the whole cast and crew, we send Frankie our love and very best wishes – we will miss her.”
The tour begins in Birmingham on January 16. A replacement dancer will be announced later today.
