Sam Smith wins four Grammys
Sam Smith cleaned up at last night’s Grammy Awards, taking home four of the top awards on the night.
Accepting the award for Record Of The Year, Sam thanked his ex, who inspired the winning album.
“I’ll keep this one brief – I just want to thank the man that inspired me to write this record.
“You broke my heart because now I’ve got four Grammys.”
The evening saw Sam sweep the board with four gongs, including the Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album for his moody album In The Lonely Hour.
Despite his amazing triumph, Sam appeared emotional as he received his award, thanking his fans and peers for allowing him to be himself.
“I tried to get my music heard however I could, even trying to lose weight to fit in. It wasn’t until I started being myself that the music flowed,” he told the audience.
