Kim Kardashian supports Bruce Jenner’s transition into a woman
Kim Kardashian West has said she fully supports her stepfather Bruce Jenner’s decision to transition into a woman.
Speaking for the first time about her stepfather’s transition, she described it as a “hard adjustment” for the Kardashian/Jenner family.
In an interview with The Today Show, Kardashian West rubbishes “made-up” reports that Jenner’s family and friends are not supportive of the decathlete’s decision to transition.
“I think there is still an adjustment [to the transition] and there’s family therapy and we’re really close,” she told Matt Lauer.
“I see reports that say, ‘This one doesn’t support him’, and, ‘This one’s over here, and my mum feels this way’, and it’s all really so made-up.”
“We all really support him. Is it a hard adjustment? Yes,” she added.
Jenner first confirmed that he was transitioning in an interview special with ABC’s Diane Sawyer on Friday night.
“For all intents and purposes, I’m a woman,” he announced.
“People look at me differently. They see you as this macho male, but my heart and my soul and everything that I do in life – it is part of me. That female side is part of me. That’s who I am.”
