Jamie xx teases new album
Jamie xx has hinted at what we can expect from The xx’s new album.
The producer teased that the band’s next album has been informed by his solo record.
“The [solo] album feels like the next part of what we’re all doing rather than just [me] branching off,” Jamie xx told NME.
“It has definitely informed what we’re doing for the next [xx] album,” he added.
The xx released their last album Coexist in 2012, with the record reaching number one in the UK and five in the US.
The band have said their third LP will have “a completely different concept” to their previous records.
Meanwhile, Jamie xx’s bandmate Romy Madley Croft features on his track ‘Loud Places’, which appears on his new solo album In Colour.
In Colour is released on June 1.
