Zayn Malik’s denies X Factor link

Zayn Malik has denied reports he’ll become a judge on the X Factor.

A representative for the former One Direction star has denied recent reports that suggest he is set to join the judging panel on this year’s series.

“It’s a complete fabrication, this story is complete nonsense,” a spokesperson confirmed.

Despite Louis Tomlinson being tipped as the favourite to replace Louis Walsh, it was alleged that the show’s boss, Simon Cowell, had hopes of signing up Zayn in a bid to boost viewing figures.

A source told Daily Star newspaper: “Simon has told Zayn he’d make a great judge and it’s him rather than Louis he really wants. Louis and the other boys will be touring next year, too.

“The last thing Simon wants is another shock, so he’s keeping Zayn very close now and knows about all his projects,” the insider added.

Elsewhere, it was recently reported that Nick Grimshaw could well be the latest addition to the ever-evolving X Factor panel.

According to The Mirror, the 30 year-old is first-in-line to join the show in a dramatic personnel shake-up, which may see Louis Walsh leave the talent series.
