Bobbi Kristina Brown dies aged 22
Bobbi Kristina Brown has died aged 22.
The daughter of late Whitney Houston and singer Bobby Brown, Bobbi Kristina passed away on Sunday, July 26 at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Georgia surrounded by her family.
In a statement, the Houston family said: “She is finally at peace in the arms of God. We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months.”
Bobbi Kristina was taken to hospital in January this year, after being found unresponsive in her bathtub by her partner Nick Gordon.
Although in April it was reported that Brown’s condition was improving, she was later moved into hospice care last month as reports came that her medical condition was continuing to deteriorate.
Prior to that, her grandmother Cissy Houston stated that she was ready for “whatever the Lord decides”.
Bobbi Kristina’s mother, Whitney, tragically died back in 2012.
Several stars have paid their tributes to Bobbi Kristina online, including the official Whitney Houston Facebook page, which said: “It is hard to say goodbye. On Sunday, July 26, Bobbi Kristina Brown made her transition peacefully. The family thanks everyone for their loving thoughts and prayers. As Bobbi Kristina would say: ‘The wind is behind me and the sun is in my face.'”
