Rihanna unfazed by Beyonce rivalry
Rihanna has revealed she isn’t bothered by the Beyonce rivalry that continues to simmer between them.
The singer, who features on the cover of Vogue Magazine has spoken about the internet’s fixation on creating a rivalry between her and Queen B.
“Here’s the deal,” she said. “They just get so excited to feast on something that’s negative. Something that’s competitive. Something that’s, you know, a rivalry. And that’s just not what I wake up to. Because I can only do me. And nobody else is going to be able to do that.”
One example is Twitter going nuts when Rihanna apparently liked that shady tweet directed at Beyoncé.
The tweet in question – posted by user @DruChaos, which has since been deleted – allegedly said: “The fact that ‘Desperado’ is HIGHER on the Bubbling under chart than a single performed to a global audience.”
RiRi also spoke about her recent album Anti and agreed that she was sick of the pop mould.
“Very much,” she said. “I just gravitated toward the songs that were honest to where I am now.
“It might not be some automatic record that will be Top 40. But I felt like I earned the right to do that now,” she continued.
As for regrets, RiRi revealed she doesn’t have many but “wearing a thong that wasn’t bedazzled [to the CDFA Awards” is one of them. “That’s the only regret I have in my life.” she told the magazine.
