Bieber and Skillex sued over ‘Sorry’
Justin Bieber and Skrillex’s are being sued over their single, Sorry.
Indie artist White Hinterland – real name Casey Dienel – is accusing the duo of sampling her track ‘Ring The Bell’ without the proper permission as well as copying her song’s “female vocal riff” (via TMZ).
Eight seconds of ‘Ring The Bell’ are allegedly sampled in ‘Sorry’, even though White Hinterland claims she asked Bieber not to use the excerpt.
White Hinterland is now seeking a financial payout and she is asking Bieber to stop playing the song live, as long as it contains this apparent ‘Ring The Bell’ sample.
