Spice Girls confirm reunion
The Spice Girls have finally announced their official reunion.
Not quite the reunion fans had hoped for, only Geri Halliwell, Mel B and Emma Bunton will reform, and will now be known as GEM.
Geri, Mel B and Emma confirmed the much-anticipated news that they were reforming in a video message on spicegirlsgem.com.
Mel B begins be saying: “We’ve been thinking, we have the best friends in the whole entire world…”
Geri appears on screen to continue: “You’ve stood by us for 20 years, and we want to say a big thank you…”
Baby Spice pops up to add: “We’ve had our ups and downs, but you’ve always been there.”
The trio reveal they plan to celebrate with a humongous party, and thank goodness – we’re all invited.
The group then wish their fans a Happy 20th Birthday, and that they’ll be back very soon with more details on their landmark anniversary plans.
It was recently reported that Geri, Emma and Mel B have booked a date for a celebratory gig in Hyde Park for next July.
Sporty Spice’s Mel C is still undecided about her involvement, saying: “I am keeping tight-lipped. There are lots of discussions going on.
“Right now I am in the studio working on my own album and that is my focus. I’m taking it slowly.”
