Emeli Sandé for Lounge on the Farm festival
Emeli Sandé has been announced as the headline act for this year’s Lounge on the Farm festival.
The singer – who picked up the Critics’ Choice prize at this year’s Brit Awards – will play the three-day event, which takes place at Merton Farm in Canterbury from July 6 to 8.
The Wombats, Mystery Jets, Roots Manuva, Chic and Goldie are among the other headliners for this year’s festival.
Previous acts confirmed to play the event are Ellie Goulding, The Streets and Echo and the Bunnymen.
Lounge on the Farm was born in 2006, aiming to bring a unique slant to the UK summer festival market by provide an event that promoted the local area and its performers, musicians, traders and creative talents.
It won ‘Best Line Up’ at the 2009 UK Festival Awards and the ‘Sustainability’ prize for 2011 at the Greener Festival Awards.
