Dramatic lifeguard rescue for JLS star Aston

JLS star Aston Merrygold reportedly had to be rescued by lifeguards on the band’s latest video shoot.

The singer got his foot caught on a camera cable as he filmed underwater while fully clothed at a Basildon sports centre in Essex. The shoot was delayed while he recovered.

“Aston was really shaken up. He couldn’t untangle the cable and was underwater for some time,” a source told The Sun

“The other lads thought he was joking until it became obvious he was stuck. Luckily they had lifeguards on set who dived in to save him.

“In the end he was gutted that a couple of blokes rescued him instead of female lifeguards.”

The band were filming a feature for their upcoming ‘4th Dimension Arena Tour’, which starts on Wednesday night (February 14) in Liverpool.
