Kelly Brook denies miscarriage interview

Kelly Brook has denied giving an interview in which she reportedly discussed her miscarriage.

The model lost the baby girl she was expecting with her boyfriend, rugby player Thom Evans, in May 2011.

In the alleged interview, due to be published in the May issue of Top Santé, Brook is quoted as saying: “My miscarriage was a hard lesson.

“Before I fell pregnant, I’d been living the life of a 22-year-old – going to clubs, working hard and flying to a different country every two weeks.

“When I first fell pregnant, I still thought I could run around and do whatever I wanted, but my body let me know that wasn’t the case. When I miscarried, I was devastated.”

She reportedly added: “It was the hardest lesson but, ultimately, a good one. I’d been running on adrenalin believing I was invincible – like so many of us do. Since the miscarriage, I’ve changed my life dramatically.”

However, the 32-year-old took to Twitter this afternoon to deny the interview’s authenticity.

“Very upset by recent reports that I have given an interview to Top Santé magazine. This is completely false,” she told her followers, adding: “I have never and will never discuss such personal issues with the media. This is delicate and private and just simply not true.”

In a statement, Top Santé magazine responded: “Kelly Brook gave a telephone interview with Top Santé magazine on 7 February 2012 to promote her Argos bed linen range.

“The interview was recorded, transcribed and published in this month’s issue in good faith and with the knowledge of her management. We stand by our article and were surprised and disappointed to see Kelly has denied it ever taking place.”
