X Factor USA’s Marcus Canty confirms debut single
Former X Factor USA contestant Marcus Canty has confirmed that his debut single will be available to buy on iTunes from next week.
Canty, who made the semi-finals of The X Factor USA during its debut season last year, will officially release ‘Won’t Make a Fool Out of You’ on Tuesday, April 10.
Canty confirmed the details on his Twitter account on Tuesday evening (April 3), writing: “Go cop that fire and let’s make history!”
The 20-year-old also revealed that ‘Won’t Make a Fool Out of You’, which was released to radio in the US last month, will also feature on the soundtrack to the forthcoming movie Think Like a Man – an adaptation of a non-fiction book by comedian Steve Harvey.
Canty signed a deal with Epic Records in January, which is also home to finalist Chris Rene, teenage rapper Brian ‘Astro’ Bradley and X Factor USA winner Melanie Amaro.
Quarter-finalist Rachel Crow recently signed a joint record contract with Columbia Records and Syco, in addition to a talent deal with Nickelodeon.
