American Reunion cast get nostalgic

The cast of American Pie have appeared in a new featurette discussing the filming of the 1999 teen comedy.

Jason Biggs (Jim), Alyson Hannigan (Michelle), Tara Reid (Vicky) and Seann William Scott (Stifler) are among the castmates who nostalgically look back to the first time they met each other in the promo from Yahoo Movies.

Talking about the first time reading the script, Thomas Ian Nicholas (Kevin) joked: “I remember throwing it in the trash, I didn’t give it a chance the first time. I was morally offended.”

Seann William Scott added: “I was working at Home Depot, and they listed this movie. That was the first time I heard about it. I was lucky to get a script, I remember going crazy when I got to the flute [scene].”

On his infamous apple pie scene, Biggs said: “I remember thinking, ‘This is the coolest thing, I so want to be that guy’. When I got to set that day, I was like, ‘Holy f**k, am I gonna do this?'”

American Reunion will see the full cast of the original film – also including Chris Klein, Mena Suvari and Eddie Kaye Thomas – return as they meet up again for their high school reunion.

American Reunion arrives in cinemas on April 6 in the US and May 2 in the UK.
