Bastille tease new album collaboration
Bastille have revealed details of a possible change of sound on their forthcoming second album, including a collaboration with rapper Angel Haze.
The band are currently working on the follow-up to their 2013 debut Bad Blood and have recorded a collaboration during the sessions.
“We are touring with Angel Haze and we have recorded some stuff together too,” frontman Dan Smith told the Daily Star.
“Maybe it’s not the most obvious fit but she’s an intelligent rapper with insightful lyrics.”
The band revealed that they have been working on a new song called ‘Weapons’ and teased further details of their change in direction.
“The second album will be much clearer as to what our influences are,” Smith added. “It’s more drastically all over the place, in a good way.
“I still sneak off and sing into my phone but we are writing more collaboratively at soundchecks too this time.”
Bastille held on to the UK number one position with their album Bad Blood this weekend, despite the collection being released 12 months ago.
