BBL: American Ace becomes fifth signing for Plymouth Riders
American ace Matt Schneck has become the Plymouth Raiders fifth signing of the summer.
Standing 6’8″ tall, Schneck joins the club from the Cheshire Jets, where he averaged 16.1 points and 10.7 rebounds a game last season.
He will be following Colin O’Reilly in moving from the Jets to the Raiders, with Jeremy Bell making a similar move the season before.
“I’m delighted that Matt will be joining the team,” said Raiders head coach Gavin Love.
“He’s a huge impact player, a fierce competitor, a winner, and plays with real intensity.
“When we’ve matched up against him in the past, he’s given us a hard time – he’s very hard to stop inside, a relentless rebounder and one of the top big men in the BBL in recent years.”
The players will be arriving in Plymouth in the first week of September to begin pre-season training.
