Beyoncé and Kings of Leon to headline V Festival 2013

Beyoncé and Kings of Leon have been announced as headline acts for this year’s V Festival.

Beyonce will make her only European festival appearance of 2013 alongside Kings of Leon, playing alternate days in Chelmsford and Staffordshire.

Both acts are currently preparing to release new studio albums and were recently rumoured to be in talks to perform at V Festival.

Jessie J, Calvin Harris, Emeli Sandé, Olly Murs and Rita Ora will also take to the stage across the weekend of August 17-18.

Other acts announced include Stereophonics, The Script, Beady Eye, Two Door Cinema Club, The Vaccines and Basement Jaxx.

Ellie Goulding, Paloma Faith, Labrinth, Jessie Ware, Lianne La Havas and Little Mix also appear on the bill.
