Bieber Brat: Justin Bieber had tantrum backstage and snubbed competition winners
Justin Bieber left fans furious on Monday night when he appeared on stage two hours late for his O2 gig.
Blaming technical difficulties, and claiming to have only been 40 minutes late, Biebs swanned on stage to face the fury from his fans and their parents.
Insiders at the venue have now dished the dirt on the brat like bahaviour of the teen star, saying that he kept sobbing fans waiting for a meet and greet, before spending no time at all with them.
According to The Sun, the singer threw a tantrum as soon as staff members pleaded with him to go on stage.
One insider claimed: “He was arguing with members of his management, his family. It was a really uncomfortable atmosphere. His attitude was, ‘I’m the star and I can do what I want’.”
“His lateness was because he didn’t get out of bed until late and sat in his dressing room playing games – even though his door was being knocked. He then threw a strop as he said he wanted a shower first, despite already being late.
“Justin arrived at the O2 at 3pm to do some meet and greets, but he didn’t get up until late because he’d had a heavy night at his hotel. Justin’s really been going off the rails in recent months. He’s bound to be pulled in for crisis talks.”
Concert workers have also reported how the popstar is said to have blanked a 15 year old fan who a competition to meet him, spending less than ten seconds with her.
One fan’s mother claimed that staff informed her that Bieber had been arguing backstage.
She said: “We were told he was kicking up a real fuss. He was saying, ‘It’s my show, I’ll go out when I want to’.”
A 15-year-old girl who won a competition to meet Bieber before the gig also said how they queued for three hours to spend “less than ten seconds” with their idol. When she asked him for a cuddle, she claimed he told her: “I don’t have time.”
Her angry dad, from Weybridge, Surrey, told The Sun: “The way he has treated my daughter and her friend is appalling, like dirt,” adding: “They won the competition to meet him, but paid an extra £150 each to see him in concert afterwards and how has he repaid them? By acting like a spoiled brat.”
He continued, “It’s disgusting.”
Bieber blamed “technical issues” over his late show when apologising to fans on Tuesday (March 5).
The singer will also incur a £300,000 ($453,398) fine from Greenwich Council, due to his show on Monday running past an 11pm noise curfew.
