Biffy Clyro and Fall Out Boy to play Reading and Leeds Festivals
Biffy Clyro have been confirmed to play the Reading and Leeds Festivals this summer, alongside American punk band, Fall Out Boy.
The Scottish band – who scored their first UK number one album with Opposites this weekend – will headline the Main Stage alongside previously confirmed act Eminem and one other performer to be revealed at a later date.
Meanwhile, Fall Out Boy – who announced their return to music yesterday – will take to the stage for their only UK festival appearances.
System of a Down, Jake Bugg, Foals and Bring Me the Horizon have also been added to the lineup, which was unveiled by Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1.
It was revealed in December that Alt-J, Deftones, Sub Focus and Boy Better Know will be performing at the event.
Festival Republic boss Melvin Benn has explained that three new stages will be present at Reading and Leeds 2013.
“I’ve got quite a strong buzz and feeling in myself in the changes that I’m making there,” said Benn.
“I’m still formulating the ideas. There will be quite a bit more dance music, quite a bit more other bits and pieces.”
Reading and Leeds Festivals 2013 take place across the weekend of August 23-25
