BREAKING NEWS: Mark Hughes confirmed as Stoke City’s new manager

 

Mark Hughes has been appointed the new manager of Stoke City.

Although the club have yet to officially unveil their next boss, Sky Sports News have reported that the former Fulham, Manchester City, Queens Park Rangers and Blackburn Rovers manager will replace Tony Pulis who left the Potters last week.

The 49-year-old has been out of work since he was sacked by QPR in November.

Stoke chairman Peter Coates admitted the club needed a fresh direction following Pulis’s departure and sees Hughes as the man to implement a more attractive style of football.

SSN also announced on Thursday morning that Mark Bowen will join Hughes at the Britannia Stadium as his No 2.

The Staffordshire club are to hold a news conference regarding Hughes’s appointment at around 11am.
