Celebrity Big Brother: Everything you need to know for launch night
Celebrity Big Brother launches tonight (Thursday, January 3) at 9pm and before the celebs have even entered the CBB house, there has been drama.
Scottish hunk Sam Robertson has quit (twice we think), Jim Davidson has been arrested and Li Lo (Lindsay Lohan) has been in and out more times than the plug on your Christmas tree.
There’s a hefty two-hour launch show hosted by Brian Dowling, followed by the first episode of spin-off series Bit on the Side, presented by Emma Willis.
Of course, there will be a twist on the opening night and producers are promising a “house from hell” and “nasty twists”.
So here’s all the gossip we have so far….
CBB bosses were thrown into turmoil when former Corrie and Beaver Falls star Sam Robertson quit the show.
The 27-year-old was previously lined up for the summer series but pulled out at the last minute.
The actor has now been given a “second chance” by producers, but they fear that the same thing could happen again head of Tonights launch show.
A source claimed: “Just hours before he was due to enter the house Sam said he couldn’t face it.
“He had gone into hiding before the series started and just couldn’t cope being locked up and away from the outside world.
“Other guests in the hotel where he was staying said he was going crazy not being able to do normal things like call his family.”
Soap Star Frenzy
The rumoured list of housemates is stuffed with your favourite soap stars.
Neighbours resident lawyer Toadie (Ryan Moloney), ex-EastEnders cast-off Gillian Taylforth, someone who used to be in Heartbeat (Tricia Penrose) and Sam Robertson aka Flynn (Beaver Falls)/Adam Barlow from Corrie, are all potentially heading into the compound.
If soaps aren’t your thing don’t worry, Claire from Steps, some glamour models you’ll never have heard of – but i’m sure won’t mind the look of – and Rylan from X Factor and Frankie Dettori are also apparently taking part.
America is coming
The Lindsay Lohan rumour just won’t go away, especially now she’s been spotted hitting some of London’s hotspots. The troubled Hollywood star and Mean Girls actress is tipped to entering the house in order to boost her popularity and mend her sketchy past.
Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag
If you’ve never heard of the reality TV monster that is Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag consider yourself very lucky.
The couple found ‘fame’ in the US on the hit reality series The Hills, which followed their on again, off again, wedding, divorce… you get the picure!
Throw in some sex tape scandals, weird born-again Christian mumbo-jumbo, dodgy 9/11 conspiracy theories and a bit of bankruptcy and you’ll understand a small slice of what you have to look forward to.
The house from what we’ve seen doesn’t really look that much different from the rest, except that is for the igloo…
