Cheryl gets the chop

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has gone for the chop…cutting off her long locks for a short 70s inspired bob.

The 31-year-old singer took to her Instagram page on Monday to show off a dramatic and extremely short Seventies-inspired haircut.

“I love the 70s’ and gave a shoutout to her hairstylist for the cut,” she wrote.

Cheryl added: ‘#newdo colour is @lorealparisuk Casting Creme Gloss Berry Red 565. @percyhair thanks for the chop.’

Earlier in the day Cheryl gave a hint that a new look was on the way as she posted a picture of her stylist’s scissors and comb on her Instagram page.

She captioned it: “Long overdue.2

Cheryl is preparing for the release of her new single, Only Human, on March 22, and the song will feature a number of remixes by Ill Blu and Super Stylers.
