Chris Brown and Rihanna showed a untied front at last night’s Grammy Awards – showing the world they had put the past behind them and hoping for the same in return.

Four years ago, Chris Brown shocked the world when he brutally attacked pop star Rihanna, leaving her bloodied and bruised after a pre-Grammy party, but all appeared forgiven – and forgotten – on Sunday as he cosied up to the Barbadian pop star in the front row of the Grammy Awards at the Staples Center.

Looking like the cat that got the cream, Chris hugged his girlfriend as she leaned lovingly against his shoulder.

Having shed the diamonds she wore on the red carpet, Rihanna replaced the bling with the simple band, causing fans on Twitter to speculate on its meaning.

“Is that a wedding ring on Rihanna?” tweeted one fan.

Another tweeted: “Rihanna engaged?!?! Or that’s some type of promise ring?”

“Rihanna is wearing a diamond on her left ring finger. Really? Hope that’s just an accessory,” added another fan.
