Chris Brown sued for $3M by Frank Ocean’s cousin

Chris Brown is allegedly being sued for $3 million after a fight with Frank Ocean and his cousin earlier this year.

According to TMZ, Ocean’s cousin Sha’Keir Duarte has filed legal documents accusing the rapper of causing ‘pain and suffering’ after the incident in January.

Duarte claims he was injured when a fight erupted between Brown and Ocean’s entourages in January outside Westlake Recording Studios in Los Angeles.

According to the website, Duarte – who filed the lawsuit in August – itemised his list of damages in the court documents.

He allocated $1,000,000 for pain, suffering and inconvenience, $1,000,000 for emotional distress, and a further $1,000,000 for punitive damages. Finally, Duarte listed $60,000 for medical expenses.

Meanwhile, Brown, 24, countersued Duarte last month, accusing him of instigating the fight by pushing, kicking and punching the singer and threatening to kill him, according to TMZ.

Brown is seeking unspecified damages.

The incident happened when Brown left the recording studio where he had been listening to one of the artists he represents.
