Counting Crows announce UK winter tour
Counting Crows have announced a UK winter tour for later this year.
The US band will play seven dates across the country in November, including a gig at Glasgow’s O2 Academy.
The dates are the first of the band’s upcoming European tour, kicking off at Birmingham’s O2 Academy on November 1.
“Probably the coolest thing about a career like ours is the chance to really see the world,” said lead vocalist Adam Duritz.
“I’ll never forget when we landed in London to start our first European tour, or what it was like to go for a walk in the middle of the night after a show and end up at the Eiffel Tower. European tours are magic. I cannot wait.”
The tour will include songs from their upcoming new album Somewhere Under Wonderland, expected to be released in September.
Lucy Rose will join the band as their support act for the tour.
Tickets will go on sale on Friday (June 13) at 9am.
The tour dates are:

1 – Birmingham, O2 Academy
2 – Glasgow, O2 Academy
4 – Newcastle, O2 Academy
5 – Leeds, O2 Academy
7 – Manchester, O2 Apollo
8 – Leicester, De Montfort Hall
