Dannii Minogue is “very dark” reveals Sharon Osbourne
Sharon Osbourne has sensationally revealed that Dannii Minogue has a “very dark” personality.
In her new book – Unbreakable – Sharon reveals that her former co-judge on the X Factor became “‘unbearable”, “intolerable” and “an odious chore”.
Sharon also went so far as to label Dannii’s personality “very dark”, claiming what you saw was definitely not what you got.
In an extract of her new book, serialised in The Sun, she said: “Outwardly, Dannii seemed all, “Ooh, I love kids and puppies”. But in my opinion she was dark, very dark. What you saw was definitely not what you got.”
At the time, Dannii was embroiled in a fling with show boss Simon Cowell, which Sharon says made her relationship with Dannii even worse.
“The more it progressed, the worse it became between her and me. It was unbelievably bad. Dannii had taken to walking past me in the hallway without even making eye contact. I’d like to say it didn’t bother me, but it did,” writes Sharon.
Sharon admitted she and fellow judge Louis Walsh were left feeling like gooseberries as Dannii and Simon flirted up a storm behind the scenes, and generally behaved like teenagers.
“The more it progressed, the worse it became between her and me. Meanwhile, the antics behind the screen had gone up a gear, with her sticking her tongue in Simon’s ear and giggling like a b****y teenager as Louis Walsh and I stood their like a couple of gooseberries.”
Sharon also revealed how she was so gripped with cosntant “anxiety” that she called a meeting with Dannii and X Factor executive producer Richard Holloway in an attempt to resolve the situation.
Claiming the mother-of-one refused to discuss their relationship during the meeting, Sharon felt she was unable to continue working alongside her and promptly issued Simon with an ultimatum, telling him to pick between the two judges.
Despite the music manager telling the pop mogul her rival was “just another pretty face”, Simon refused to choose between the two women.
After returning back to her rocker husband Ozzy Osbourne and family in Los Angeles at the end of the series, Sharon resolved that there was no point in putting herself under such stress when she wasn’t building a career or promoting a record.
