Dark Knight Rises star Tom Hardy up for David Haye fight
The Dark Knight Rises star Tom Hardy has said that he would be up for a fight with champion boxer David Haye – as long as all the money raised goes to charity.
Haye challenged the 34-year-old actor after being impressed by the physique he sported to play Bane in Christopher Nolan’s final Batman movie.
Asked for his thoughts on a potential brawl, Hardy argued that squaring up to the former heavyweight champion would be “an experience”, even if it would end “not good for Tommy”.
“Hardy v Hayemaker? No problem. Let me take my make-up off first,” the Warrior star jested withThe Sun.
“I’ve never fought a professional heavyweight, it’ll be an experience. I would obviously prefer my first professional fight to be against someone in my weight category but hey-ho.
“Let’s have it. We all know how this is going to end don’t we… not good for Tommy.”
Hardy went on to say that he would need the elite of the boxing world to rally around him if a fight with Haye ever took place.
“I’ll have Clay O’Shea as trainer and Joe Calzaghe on cuts in my corner.”
