David Arquette files for divorce
Actor David Arquette has filed for divorce from estranged wife, Friends star Courteney Cox.
According to TMZ, Arquette cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the breakdown of their 11-year marriage in papers filed in Los Angeles this week.
He is also seeking joint custody of their daughter CoCo Riley, but has not requested any spousal or child support.
Also, it appears that Arquette signed the divorce documents on 23rd March and only just decided to file them.
Cox first met David on the set of Wes Craven’s 1995 horror flick Scream, and married four years later. Courteney then gave birth to CoCo in 2004.
The news comes after the couple first announced their split in October 2010, saying in a statement at the time: “The reason for this separation is to better understand ourselves and the qualities we need in a partner and for our marriage.
“We remain best friends and responsible parents to our daughter and we still love each other deeply.
“As we go though this process we are determined to use kindness and understanding to get through this together.”
They added: “We are comfortable with the boundaries that we have established for each other during this separation and we hope that our friends, family, fans and the media also show us respect, dignity, understanding and love at this time as well.”
