EastEnders have revealed who Lucy Beal’s secret lover is.

Viewers have been captivated by Lucy’s secret text messages and phone calls to her mystery man, and in the big reveal it was Max Branning that the young businesswoman was meeting.

Lucy was seen meeting up with Max in a hotel room in the soap’s latest episode.

Viewers already knew that Lucy had embarked on a new relationship, as she had recently been sending secret texts and making phone calls to an unknown person.

The latest visit to Walford saw Lucy appear distracted while attending the birthday celebrations of Max’s daughter Lauren (Jacqueline Jossa).

When it became clear that Lucy would rather be somewhere else, she seized an opportunity to leave before heading off to a hotel room.

Once inside, Lucy was quickly greeted by Max (Jake Wood), who emerged from the shower and fell into bed with her.
