Ellie Goulding scores first UK number one single
Ellie Goulding has scored her first UK number one single.
The track, Burn, from her upcoming special edition album Halcyon Days sold 117,000 copies to reach the top of the charts.
“It means the world to me to be number one at the moment. It was always my dream to have a UK number one single, and it’s been a long time coming!,” she told The Official Charts Company.
“Thank you to everyone who bought ‘Burn’ and everyone who has supported me over the last three years.”
Avicii stays at two with ‘Wake Me Up’, while Miley Cyrus slips two from last week’s top spot with ‘We Can’t Stop’.
