Emeli Sande leads Brit Award nominations

Emeli Sande was among the artists to receive multiple nominations for this year’s Brit Awards.

The 25-year-old Scottish singer, who won the Critics choice award just last year, is in the running for Best Female, Best Album and has two tracks in the Best Single category.

Speaking at the launch last night Emeli said: “So many things happened this year but the Olympics were amazing and the album being a best seller was obviously great. But getting married was my personal highlight.”

The ceremony will be held at London’s O2 Arena on February 20.
