Emeli Sandé writing songs for new Rihanna album
Emeli Sandé has confirmed that she is writing songs for Rihanna’s new album.
The singer-songwriter confirmed the news at the Ivor Novello Awards that she was penning tracks for the follow-up to 2012’s Unapologetic.
“There’s been a lot going on. I’ve been back in [the studio] with Naughty Boy, which has been amazing,” said Sandé.
“I’ve been writing for Rihanna’s new movie, which has been incredible. I was with Rodney Jerkins the other night. I feel now I’m back in creative mode.”
Rihanna is currently planning a concept album based around the upcoming 3D animated movie Home.
Sandé has written for the likes of Cher Lloyd, Susan Boyle,Leona Lewis, Cheryl Cole and Tinie Tempah in the past.
She featured as a guest artist for Chipmunk and Wiley before striking out on her own with ‘Heaven’ in 2011 followed by Our Version of Events the following year.
