Emmy News: One Tree Hills star Sophia Bush looks stunning on cover of Emmy Magazine

Sophia Bush is best known for her role as Brooke Davis – the trouble-making vixen – in One Tree Hill, however the 30-year-old star looks glamorous and sophisticated in a shoot for Emmy Magazine.

Showing off her perfect pins in a black sequinned dress and strappy red sandals in one striking shot, and  a black fringed dress complete with black heels in another, Sophia was the perfect mix of old and new Hollywood glamour as she posed in the picturesque Los Angeles Palace Theatre.

The star revealed how she’s looking forward to a new chapter in her career and to working closer to home after the One Tree Hill series ended back in April.

Sophia plays Ali in the CBS series, Partners – created by the same team behind hit Will & Grace –  which premieres next Monday.

“I was on location [in North Carolina] for nine years [for One Tree Hill], away from my home, family and friends,’ she tells the magazine. “The fact that I get to wake up in my own bed and drive to work every day in the city I grew up in feels like a luxury.”

She is also excited about her character Ali’s high end fashion sense.

“One of the things I love about working on different sets is creating very specific looks for each character I play,” she said.

“Her fashion sense is very high-end and polished. Everything is very tailored and particular.”

Sophia confessed she felt a little nervous filming the show in front of a live studio audience, saying: “Working on a sitcom in front of a live audience is like shooting a stage play.”

“It’s so exciting and scary – in a really good way. I get the same feeling that I get when I go skydiving and I’m inching my way out of the plan.”
