Fifty Shades of Grey director quits
Fifty Shades of Grey director Sam Taylor-Johnson has quit the movie, leaving the sequel hanging in the balance.
Director of the first installment, Sam Taylor-Johnson, will not be coming back to direct Fifty Shades Darker.
The British photographer has bowed out due to a series of alleged arguments with the book series’ author E.L. James.
Taylor-Johnson gave a statement on Wednesday to Us Weekly: “Directing Fifty Shades of Grey has been an intense and incredible journey for which I am hugely grateful.”
“While I will not be returning to direct the sequels, I wish nothing but success to whosoever takes on the exciting challenges of films two and three.”
That same day she posted a snap with the film’s star Jamie Dornan to Instagram, showing that she still is on good terms with the actor.
