Friends fear for Amanda Bynes as she’s spotted using a ‘drug pipe’
Amanda Bynes is spiraling out of control according to friends, following a series of run ins with the law.
The former Disney star has been charged with driving drunk, has side swipped a police patrol car, been stopped for driving without headlights on and most recently has been caught driving with a suspended driving license and smoking from what is alleged to be a hash pipe.
The 26-year-old was seen driving around Los Angeles for hours on Tuesday, according to TMZ, who reported that the Hairspray actress took ‘multiple hits’ of what appeared to be marijuana.
The tool which Amanda looks to be using is a pipe designed to look like a car cigarette lighter.
The pictures show Bynes in a parked car, behind the wheel, surrounded by a cloud of smoke as she exhales from what appears to be the pipe in question.
Her car is reported to be in a mess, with stained seats, half-drunk bottles of soda without their lids, dog hair and various other items – including what looks like – remnants of burnt cannabis in the cup holder.
It is believed Amanda was first spotted in the parking lot of Baja Fresh in the San Fernando Valley, where she smoked from the pipe and ate takeout tacos after being struck by the munchies.
She is then said to have driven off, visiting a spa for three hours, before taking to the roads aimlessly ‘for several hours, sometimes cutting off other drivers and violating various traffic laws.’
The Teen Choice Award winner eventually drove to a Home Depot store, to purchase some coloured light bulbs, where she again smoked from the pipe in the parking lot.
According to Radar, friends are growing concerned that Amanda is ‘not in touch with reality.’
One friend said: “Amanda is refusing to go to rehab or seek any form of psychiatric treatment or diagnosis, because it’s clear something is up with her.
“She has been told by her agent and her dad Rick that she has substance abuse issues and needs to get help. She’s a lost little girl right now.”
Last week, Amanda was charged with two hit and run charges and faces court later this month.
Her driving license has also been suspended after she refused to give a sobriety test following an arrest in April for a DUI misdemeanor after sideswiping a police car.
The insider continued: “Amanda’s completely gone off the grid… She’s obviously crying out for help… She seems to be having some serious mental health issues and she’s always out of it.”‘
Amanda took to Twitter earlier this year to ask the President for help, protesting her innocence in the DUI incident. She wrote: “Hey @BarackObama… I don’t drink.
“Please fire the cop who arrested me. I also don’t hit and run. The end.”
