George Clooney denies he has split from girlfriend Stacy Keibler

George Clooney has denied reports claiming he and girlfriend Stacy Kiebler have split.

According to The Sun newspaper, George and his girlfriend of just over one year, have called time on their relationship due to his unwillingness to commit, but the actor’s rep has now denied the story.

“A story published by a London tabloid, The Sun, concerning George Clooney and Stacy Keibler is not true. Total fabrication designed to sell newspapers,” said the actor’s PR representative Stan Rosenfield.

In the story, The Sun claimed that the pair had ended their romance and were set to release a statement any day now regarding the split.

They alleged that Stacy, 32, had told friends that her relationship with the 51-year-old actor was over due to his unwillingness to commit and that George had apparently told the WWE wrestler that he wanted to be on his own again.

“She said George wants to be on his own again and has no intention of getting married,” a source allegedly told The Sun.

“Stacy hoped they would be together long-term. It was a big breakthrough to spend time with his parents. But over the last few weeks George has pulled away from her.”

The new report came as the couple recently returned from Lake Como Villa in Italy, where George often travels to with girlfriends.

Despite the tabloid reports of trouble in paradise, Stacey looked like she hadn’t a care in the world yesterday as she appeared at New York Fashion Week to take in the Vera Wang’s show.
