Glasgow Rocks Back In 1st Home Game of the Season
Glasgow Rocks vs. Durham Wildcats
Glasgow Rocks will take to their home court for the first time this Sunday, taking on BBL new-boys Durham Wildcats.
With both sides having suffered 22 point losses against Newcastle Eagles last week, it’s a must-win game for both the Rocks and the Wildcats.
Rocks’ coach Sterling Davis has a good idea of what to expect from Wildcats on Sunday, and was impressed when he saw them last month: “I did get a chance to see them but without their imports. From what I saw they are a very scrappy team that plays together and has some good young talent. I think with the experience of Ralph Bucci, he will be the catalyst of their team.”
Davis wasn’t too despondent about the defeat against Eagles: “I felt like we fought for the most part of the game. I really liked what I saw defensively other than the last minute when we allowed them to score 12 points without a reply.”
The Rocks play-caller is confident that his side will bounce back from that loss: “We have new group of guys this season so it’s just about getting them to understand the expectations and flow of the league. I think once we get in our comfort level with that we will be fine.”
