Georgina Lennon :: SAMG Verve Scottish Rocks V Worcester Wolves...

The SAMG Verve Scottish Rocks gave an impressive show against Worcester Wolves on Saturday night, with an impressive 112-71 victory.

The 112 points topped the 110 they scored Wednesday night in a double overtime loss to Newcastle. This time the Rocks did it in regular time and with a bit of breathing room.

Head Coach Sterling Davis said: “We are all pretty pleased with the effort and the result tonight. We just wanted to be as focused as possible knowing that Worcester have made some major changes since last season.

“They’ve taken some good teams to the wire this year so I really wanted to be sure we stayed focused. We got off to a good start by working hard on defence, and that generated the offence.”

Maurice Hampton led the way for the Rocks with 26 points while Moritz Wohlers added 23 and Julius Joseph 19.
