Grieving Gary Barlow cancels plans to film X Factor Judge’s House abroad
Gary Barlow has cancelled plans to film the X Factor’s traditional Judge’s House abroad, as he continues to grieve the loss of his baby daughter, Poppy.
Following his announcement that he would not attend the show’s press conference today, the grieving father has also said he plans to film his segment in the UK so that he can stay close to his family at this difficult time.
“The Mallorca plan has been ditched. Gary is in no fit state to be out of the country. Everyone is completely behind whatever he wants to do.
“He has said that he will stick to the planned September 10 and 11 dates but now we are looking for a suitable venue near London,” a source told the Sun.
Judges Louis Walsh, Tulisa Contostavlos and new recruit Nicole Scherzinger will now attend without Barlow a the event which will include a screening of the first episode.
An X Factor spokesperson told the Mail Online: “Due to personal circumstances Gary Barlow won’t be attending the press launch for The X Factor this week but he has been in touch with production to wish everyone well.”
Last week Gary revealed that his wife Dawn had given birth to a stillborn baby named Poppy, and he understandably is in grieving.
He bravely performed with Take That at the Olympic Closing Ceremony but asked for privacy for his family to mourn their loss.
